This engine has a 24-valve aluminum cylinder head. It also features a forged steel shaft, a gray cast iron crankcase, pistons with two compression rings and one oil scraper ring.
Plus, it uses a timing belt with a chain drive and two camshafts (inlet and outlet), hydraulic lifters, individual ignition coils and liquid forced cooling with one radiator and two fans.
It is also worth adding that in order to ensure the normal functioning of the M02.2Y engine, it is recommended to use gasoline with an octane rating of at least 98.

M02.2Y engines are characterized by this barely noticeable triple when starting “cold”.
