  1. another common problem is for whatever reason the piston in Cylinder 3 likes to self destruct.
    my original engine at 96k miles my replacement at 96-98k miles both experience the same failure around the same time of year October and September in that order and around the same millage. my replacement had 3k less miles at the time of replacement, and i dont drive much.
    i have yet to get a 3rd engine as dealers around me are booked with repairs and regular service.
