The 2021 Nissan Kicks marks a design update and an opportunity for the first to be introduced in the Asian market, where Nissan is launching an electric version, called the e-Power.
We have seen this system in models of other makes. Can be understood as an electric car that does not need to be plugged in, because its energy source is a combustion engine, the purpose of which is not to move the wheels, but to charge the battery. This way you get the dynamic advantage of an electric car, regardless of the charging point.
2021 Kicks Exterior
The 2021 Nissan Kicks redesign manifests itself especially on the front, which is now pursuing a similar style to the Sentra. We’ll find sharper headlights, a bigger V-Motion grille, and a more aggressive fascia. Other changes are more thoughtful: featuring LED lighting, there’s a new wheel design up to 17 ” and the possibility to configure it in a two-tone bodywork remains.
The rear bumper is now painted with body colors and the overall design is wider and longer. These changes help make the 2021 Nissan Kicks a much more attractive crossover than its predecessors.

After what was seen in the new Versa, most likely all versions now have electronic stability control and six airbags, and the top of the range will be added with the help of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility range, such as emergency autonomous brakes, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor.
From the equipment, the only thing new to expect is an infotainment system with a slightly bigger screen, now an 8 “with Nissan Connect interface. The rest of the elements, such as smart buttons, automatic climate control, a 7” screen in the instrument frame or a 360º vision camera will remain.
2021 Kicks Specs
The most important news from 2021 Nissan Kicks is exclusive to the Asian market. So far, this model is completely foreign in countries like Thailand or Japan. The presence of this facelift is an opportunity for Nissan to introduce it for the first time to these countries, and this is done through a version called e-Power.
In particular, the Nissan Kicks e-Power uses an EM57 electric motor, generator, inverter and a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, which is responsible for supplying power to a lithium-ion battery pack that is only 1.57 kWh of power. In total, the system produces 129 hp and 191 lb.-ft. For the US model, the 2021 Nissan Kicks is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 122 hp and 114 lb-ft of torque.
