A few weeks ago we anticipated that the 2021 KIA Stinger is already preparing for an update for the next few months. Well, while still not advancing too many technical details, the Korean brand has revealed the first images of this update and some of the most important news to include.
In its first picture, 2021 KIA Stinger shows a pretty simple change. At first glance, only a larger exhaust pipe and a skull redesigned with a new LED pattern appeared. The brand mentions new lighting in the headlights, more 18 and 19 ” wheel designs and a new package option called the Dark Package, which comes in glossy black details.
2021 Stinger Exterior
The new 2021 Kia Stinger, as you can see, won’t change an already very interesting and dynamic image too much. The most significant change, and what sets the new model apart, is the new LED optics, both for the headlamps and for the daytime running lights. Darker, they offer a sportier look to the front and will also provide better visibility.
At the rear there is an optical bar to which the taillights are equipped with LED indicators arranged in a checkerboard pattern mimicking a checkered flag. Newer in the Kia Stinger 2021 are 18-inch and 19-inch aluminum wheel designs, apart from including a series with a large exhaust and a new, more efficient and striking rear diffuser.
Along with this, a new exterior package will be offered, according to the market, featuring a dark color that includes the edges of the rear diffuser and a glossy black exhaust.

2021 Stinger Interior
With several dimensions remaining intact, the 2021 Kia Stinger cabin presents a series of changes that enhance quality. For example, the underside of the steering wheel now has a metallic finish that matches the bezels that surround the 7 ” screen on the instrument cluster.
Depending on the version chosen, the dashboard and doors can have contrasting stitching, while the center console is available with aluminum or carbon fiber trim. The infotainment system still has a 10.25 ” touchscreen which also doubles as a browser. The cabin is also equipped with a new ambient lighting system, which allows the driver to choose one of 64 colors.
New options include Nappa upholstery in a Saturn Black, Red or Beige finish, along with leather and synthetic leather options. With new Saturn Black options, the seats are upholstered in black suede with contrasting red stitching in a “chain” pattern.
2021 Stinger Specs
At this time, Kia did not provide details on the Stinger’s 2021 mechanical range, so we interpret it that it will maintain its current offering. That is, in gasoline it will include two engines (2.0 T-GDi from 245 CV and 3.3 V6 T-GDi from 366 CV) and in diesel only 2.0 CRDi from 200 CV. If there is anything new, it should come through combining one of these motors from micro-hybrid technology with the 48V network, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet.
How much is the price for a 2021 KIA Stinger?
