Ford will launch the Bronco with a V8 engine in the spring of 2021, which is a good reason for American car lovers to change their preferences. Therefore, Wrangler immediately received a strong version with the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 index.
The classic Jeep Wrangler is based on a spring-coil suspension frame with anti-roller rods on both axles. Ventilated disc brakes. The steering column can be adjusted. There is no central differential lock. 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 differs from the basic version in almost all respects: reinforced framework, support for new engines added, Fox monotube shock absorbers, Dana 44 axles and a new exhaust system installed.
The drive has got a two-speed transfer case and electric locking of the front and rear differentials. And from above the whole thing is put on 37-inch wheels with “mud” tread.
Also, the Performance Parts package is moored here, which makes it possible to raise the car by another 50 mm (the clearance is already raised by 50 mm thanks to the new wheels), which at the exit allows you to force a water barrier up to 864 mm deep.
As for the powertrain in the V8 architecture, there are no more details about it yet. It is only known that it is from the Hemi family (those that are now on sale from the Hurricane family), has a volume of 6.4 liters and produces up to 456 hp. at 610 Hm. An 8-band machine is paired with it.
What is also remarkable, the dynamics of the novelty, as for an all-terrain vehicle, is quite impressive – 4.9 seconds to hundreds. The maximum speed is 200 km / h. Also, as for the new exhaust system, the driver will be able to adjust the sound using two flaps.
For all its tough looks and expensive price tags, the Wrangler has never been a premium equipment.
Considering that the 2021 Rubicon 392 fully inherits the onboard equipment of the 4th generation serial variants, the list will be as follows:
- Light and tire pressure sensors.
- Multimedia with 7 “screen (8.4” optional) and 9-speaker Alpine music with USB and AUX ports.
- 7-inch virtual dashboard + on-board computer.
- Central locking and remote control key.
- 4 airbags and an attachment for a child seat.
- 2-zone climate.
- Spare full-size wheel.
- Rear parking sensors and camera.
Systems are responsible for passive safety: ABS , ESP , TCS, DAC and HAC. Of the minuses: only the 1st generation cruise control and completely absent electric seat adjustment.
Additionally, the 2021 Rubicon 392 will offer electronic front stabilization shutdown and remote engine start via the app as an option.
Exterior and Dimensions
The show car was presented exclusively in a 4-door version of the factory model. Whether there will be a compartment version in the event of the launch of mass production, the company representatives do not yet know themselves.
There are not many differences from the serial version:
- Enlarged wheels.
- Soft folding roof, instead of a hard one (also collapsible).
- Lack of thresholds.
- Another, more powerful bumper with a winch.
- Lack of side and rear windows.
The dimensions remained original. Only the height has grown due to the increased ground clearance:
- Length : 4882mm
- Width : 1894mm
- Height : 1898mm
- Wheelbase 3008mm
The interior of the all-terrain vehicle was not shown, but at the same time they did not hide it. It’s just that it is no different from the serial version. Unless the show car was made in red, which was not presented in the 4th generation.
Planting formula 2 + 3. The torpedo is tall, leaving plenty of knee room. The center console is strewn with analog buttons. Multi-wheel with a thick rim. Good old American plastic is everywhere.
The seats do not differ in their sporty profile, but are covered with leather. The trunk volume is 898 liters, and with the sofa folded down – 2050 liters.
