The 2021 Audi S3 is made fourth generation with the 2.0 TFSI update, improvements in the Quattro traction system and a more aggressive face.
At first glance, you will distinguish it from the other A3s by the size of the air intakes, the specific grille finish, the new vents right where the hood starts and the glossy black details on the rearview caps. Standard includes 18 “wheels and black brake calipers, but can be ordered with 19” wheels and red calipers.

The Matrix LED headlight option also stands out among the equipment. The standard includes a digital daytime running light, which consists of a matrix of pixels with 15 segments, ten of which form two vertical lines. This technology allows each version of the Audi A3 to have a different lighting. For RS3, for example, there is talk of a signature with a checkered flag design.
The new 2021 Audi S3 is featured in both body styles, with the front dominated by a large Audi Singleframe grille and large air intakes, while the mirror caps are finished in high-gloss aluminum. The curved surface under the shoulder line is a new design element that emphasizes wheel curvature even more. The new 2021 Audi S3 Sportback and S3 Sedan can be optionally equipped with a matrix of LED headlights, while the rear features a large diffuser, four tailpipes and a small special spoiler for the Sedan version.
In the front cargo space, the 2021 Audi S3 Sportback still offers 325 liters (1,145 with the rear seat folded down), which translates to 11.5 cubic feet and 40.4 cubic feet, respectively. The 2021 Audi S3 Sedan raises the stakes with 370 liters (13.1 cubic feet) of cargo space.

The interior discreetly reflects the sporty character of this version. Compared to the 2021 Audi A3 S-Line, the Audi S3 receives a special steering wheel for the S model and an aluminum or carbon decoration. The seats have a sporty design and the upholstery is mostly made from recycled PET plastic bottles.
The technology experience is captured on a different screen. Standard includes a 10.25 “digital instrument panel, with an option for Audi Virtual Cockpit 12.5″ and a plus version with three different displays. Infotainment is provided by a 10.1 ” display capable of recognizing natural text and voice commands, as well as connecting to the internet and communicating with infrastructure or with other vehicles.
At the same time, the 2021 Audi S3 enjoys the latest advances in connectivity, highlighting Wi-Fi connections, car-to-x service, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Audi putting boxes for recharging mobile devices. It also includes technologies like Audi link lock, which allows you to lock or unlock the car from your phone, or the Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound.
In terms of safety and driving assistance systems, we find outstanding elements such as Audi pre sense front with dodge assist and accidental lane departure warnings, exit and lane change alerts, traffic assistant, Adaptive Cruise Assistant with Steering Assistant and Efficiency Assistant, among others.
2021 S3 Specs
The 2021 Audi S3 retains the previous generation TFSI (turbo) 2.0 engine, but tweaks from the brand’s engineering team allow an additional 20 hp and 15 lb-ft to be squeezed out of it, for a total of 310 hp and 295 lb-ft, distributed to all four wheels by Quattro all-wheel drive system and a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
The S3’s sporty setup goes beyond the most powerful engine in its range (wait for the RS3, of course). The chassis is lowered 15mm to lower the center of gravity, while the suspension receives an extra dose of stiffness for improved dynamic handling. Optionally, it can be configured with variable damping, capable of adjusting the hardness level at will.
The Quattro all-wheel drive system also announces new features. A hydraulic multi-plate clutch located in front of the rear axle allows compact Germany to distribute power as needed. This system works in conjunction with electronic stability control and variable damping to improve dynamic control.
